Origin of The Writers Cabin

Welcome to The Writers Cabin

This Blog got its name from an actual place.  In May of 2008 my wife and I set out to buy a small cabin in the mountains of Colorado.  After much hunting we found a place and decided to buy it.  A little while later I began working on my first novel. A contemporary thriller named Rhode Kill.  I completed the first draft in the fall of 2010 and spent the next year editing, rewriting, and revising that novel. It currently sits in the drawer of my desk aging like a fine bottle of wine.  Someday when I've perfected my craft I will take my debut novel out of that drawer and rewrite it.

In the fall of 2011 I came up with an idea for a new novel which I named with the working title Not Dead Yet.  As I begin this blog I am just completing my 6th draft of this new novel and when I'm satisfied I will begin the process of querying literary agents or self publishing.  As of this writing I have not decided which of the two avenues I will follow.  It's a great new time to be an author in a world full of choices.

Since May of 2008 I have done the bulk of my writing at the place we nicknamed The Writers Cabin.
